Sassy Stash

Faux fur vest sweater dress and bootsA friend recently introduced me to the Sassy Stash and I’m excited to share it with you today.  I’m sure you’ve all been in the quandary of what to do with phone, keys, ID, and/or money when going to a party, bar, or club.  The times where you need to free up your hands and carrying a purse is more annoying than helpful.  If you’re familiar with the predicament I’m describing, you need to check out the Sassy Stash.   It’s adjustable so you can wear it completely out of sight or peeping through like I am here.  Hope you like it as much as I do!

Hope you had a fabulous weekend.  Happy Monday. Be stylish and be well! xo

Rain or Shine

DSC_9091_2I just returned from a week and half long vacation to NYC and Boston.  Truth be told, I wasn’t all that excited about my chilly vacation as I was packing all my bulky winter gear.  I have been in spring, bordering on summer, mentality and fashion for a while now.  As it turns out, it rained about a third of my vacation, but it was still one of the best vacations I’ve had!  Nothing like a cobalt blue fur collar to let Mother Nature know she can’t rain on my parade! Rain or shine, I had the time of my life!

These photos were taken at my favorite hotel in Manhattan, Le Parker Meridien.  I love the lobby architecture and wrought iron details.  The bar/lounge area has such a sultry mood with gothic decor and light fixtures!  If you find yourself in Midtown Manhattan, stop by, and you won’t want to leave!

Hope you had a great weekend and happy Monday! xo

Body Chained

DSC_2974_2I know this post title reads more gruesome than this look reflects.  I’ve been having lots of fun playing with unconventional and trendy fashion jewelry recently.  The ear cuff on the last post and the body chain today.  Two accessories which can pack a major punch to your spring and summer wardrobes.

A body chain can really be styled in so many different ways.  Now just play along for a moment.  Imagine getting dressed on a Friday night for dinner and drinks with the girls.  Perhaps you might throw on your favorite jeans and a sexy tank or your favorite LBD?  Well, at this point add a body chain and take your look to the next level.  At the very least, it’d be a great conversation starter. Now project yourself into the summer months and think about your summer uniform.  Whether it’s a summer dress or denim cut offs, a delicate body chain adds a laid back boho chic vibe.  Lastly, and my personal favorite, there’s the bikini situation which begs for a body chain adornment.  Today, I added a body chain to this feathery, feminine dress to balance the sweet with spice!  I hope you’ve recovered from this atrocious title and I hope I’ve persuaded you to be body chained as well! 😉

Armed with Fur

DSC_0144_2The San Francisco weather has been a bit bipolar this week.  We started the week with beautiful sunshine and a foreshadowing of spring which quickly flopped to tumultuous rain accompanied by lightning last night.  These photos were captured when the sun was still out, however, my outfit mirrors my mood when the rain darkens the sky.  Luckily, there’s not outfit a touch of fur cannot spice up!  Even if the fur resembles a porcupine which doesn’t bother me at all.  But that’s a whole other discussion I won’t digress into.  So, when my creativity is stifled by gloomy, grey skies, I rely on fur and a pair of statement shoes.  So it’s a good idea to be armed with fur!  You never know when the weather will flop and you’ll need to liven up a blackout situation! 😉

Hope you have a great weekend relaxing and being stylish! xo

Bold & Linear

DSC_6977I scooped up this sweater last week on a fun shopping trip to Zara with a girlfriend!  As I had just been to Zara two days prior to that, I was anticipating enjoying girl time above real shopping.  (By real, I mean the type of shopping where the phone goes on airplane mode, the search mission begins and laser focus is critical!)  Well, well, I managed to spend at least twice as much as my friend as she fine-tooth combed the sale rack and came out triumphant.  This sweater was my one and only clearance item!  As it turns out, it was my best purchase that day as I’ve worn this sweater twice already while everything else remain with tags attached.

Hope you had a great Valentine’s day and night.  Make it last through the weekend! xo

Today’s look is more aligned with what every day looks like for me.  The backbone to this everyday look starts with skinny jeans and a sweater.  But like most items in my wardrobe, I don’t like just a plain pair of skinnies.  I prefer added details or interesting washes or coatings.  The stud details on these skinnies lend the edgy feel which I love.  The sweater is whimsical and fun with sequined stars on the elbows and a reminder to dream.  This cropped coat has a fantastic deep hue which ties this look together with a punch of color.  The fur collar adds that extra oomph which elevates this coat from plain to glam.  The great thing is the fur collar is detachable and can be styled with another look or eliminated altogether.  Hope you enjoyed this look!
