A little goes a long way…tis the case with fur! In this case, the long hair fur makes a statement with multiple exclamation marks!!! The dramatic cascading frames a lapel shaped collar to an otherwise casual cardigan. The look is visually dramatic and opulent. It feels luxuriously soft and is incredibly warm. All the features that make me want to snuggle up to this sweater as the temperatures drop this month. As I mentioned before, my fashion obsessions during fall and winter shift emphasis to leather and fur. Thus, a simple pairing with faux leather pants and a pair of show-stopping heels rounds out laid back luxe with an edgy flair!
Fortuitously, I stumbled across this pair of Giorgio Armani fabulousness at Barneys New York outlet. There were only two pairs left at an obscenely discounted price and one was my size?! In a situation like this, I’m really only left with one choice! That’s right, I quickly scooped it up and made room for it in the closet. 😉 Without a doubt, I have a weakness for shoes!

This coat had me at hello! It is the perfect DREAM coat. The fur is fluffy and soft without being itchy. The cotton candy pink is the hot color trend this season. And, it fits snugly without excessive volume. I love that this is the type of coat which can be thrown on with almost any outfit for an instant GLAM!

Like an annual tradition, every winter I tell myself grey is the new black. It’s probably my most beloved color. It is genuinely a neutral color covering all colorless shades between black and white. And because it is achromatic, or colorless, it pairs with ANY color. That’s a beautiful thing! However, in spite of it, I decided to wear this achromatic color as a monochromatic look. This grey on grey with bold stripes and pinstripes ensemble looks casually chic together! Lastly, for that effortless vibe, a grey slouchy beanie finishes off this monochromatic look.
I picked up these Zara shorts while in New York. The black is available online right now. I think this pinstripe version will be available online soon. So check their site in the next couple of weeks. It’s a great staple!
Shorts: Zara (in black)

This Rag and Bone jacket is very unique and carries enough drama to be a costume. In fact, I considered adding a witch’s hat to this look and making it my Halloween costume this year. Truth be told, I’ve never really enjoyed costume dressing and can’t recollect the last time I did! Despite my aversion to costumes, I was drawn to this jacket entirely out of intrigue. It takes the concept of layering to another level. A leather vest over a tailcoat blazer?! I love it and will mimic this look throughout the season. Apparently, the concept is right on trend with the new coat-over-coat ensembles seen in Altazurra and The Row’s Fall 2013 collection below where two coats are better than one!
Amongst my list of essentials for any season is a feminine military jacket! I like this one because it’s not overwhelmingly long for my petite frame. It’s cinched at the waist and accentuates a feminine silhouette. The standup collar projects a corporal vibe. And the studs add just enough embellishment to distinguish the jacket as belonging on the streets rather than in the trenches. The military jacket is truly utilitarian because it’s neutral color lends itself to a plethora of looks and color palettes. Here, I’ve paired it with an entirely neutral ensemble where every article is an essential piece in my opinion!
