Thighs the Limit

DSC_8549It’s almost too many years to quantify, but I have pined for a pair of thigh high boots for as long as I can recollect.  It’s lavish and decadent nature, along with it’s impracticality, resulted in a self-mandated forbidden territory.  And just like the forbidden fruit, I could only fight my craving for so long.  I’m actually quite proud to have held out this long.  However, after slipping into these Michael Kors boots, the self justifications and rational rebuttals quickly resulted in lifting the prohibition!  Afterall, these boots are equipped with all the essential bells and whistles:  silver buckles, zippers, and toecap & heel inlays!  Besides, finding a pair of boots which fit like a glove is a small miracle.  I always look for a form fitting boot which accentuates the leg shape and is soft enough to bend with your motions.  I have finally tasted the forbidden fruit and I feel like I’ve achieved sovereignty!  My unsolicited advice?  Give yourself permission to rock thigh high boots!

Furrylicious

DSC_6410_2What I once thought was an over-the-top extravagance, fur has become an ubiquitous embellishment utilized in all things fashion.  During the fall and winter months, my fashion obsession shifts emphasis towards leather and fur.  Case and point, in this look!  Not only I have combined leather with fur, I’ve taken the ‘more is more’ approach adding in other trending details to this ensemble.  Zippers, studs, a high luster blouse, and a fimbriated chain bag.  I love rocker chic!

DSC_6382_2I still recall the first time I laid eyes on a pair of fur embellished heels.  I scoffed at its absurdity.  And now…meet my new pet Furrylicious!  He’s comfortable, extremely soft, and warm!  I know fur heels may not be for the faint of heart, but if you are ready to walk in luxury, Furrylicious is pretty irresistable. (And he’s on sale!)

Bond Girl

DSC_3211_2Following my brother’s weekend wedding, we spent the next day tying up loose ends.  Here, you see me behind the wheel of my brother’s Aston Martin Vantage which naturally reminds me of 007.  It’s the elegant and iconic James Bond vehicle!  I’m having fun channeling the Bond girl within me wearing a slightly sexy and comfortable dress which would allow me to perform my special agent duties.  Fashion is fantasy! 😉

DSC_3229_2This is the second time I’ve styled these booties with knee high socks.  (Previously styled here!)  It’s such a great way to wear booties as it’s not only chic, it’s also comfortable and warm.
