Neutral outfit open cardigan with lace dress

I’ve been cozying up to all things knits lately.  So I paired this warm, neutral cardigan with one of my favorite lace dresses.  You may remember I blogged this dress in black before.  It’s a great dress for any season.  I love it in this green color for the holidays.

Happy Wednesday!  Be stylish and be well.  xo

Akin to Lingerie

DSC_3902_2Considering my obsession for lace, it’s only natural I gravitate towards lingerie inspired clothing.  Especially, when adorned with none other than…LACE 😉  This dress is really not as daunting as ‘akin to lingerie’ may sound.  Plaid is a print I automatically associate with proper, conservatism, even religion.  Must be an association formulated by my Catholic school upbringing!  Thus, to me, the print offsets the risqué factor which comes along with lingerie inspired fashion and legitimizes it as a daytime dress.  When I bought this dress, I envisioned layering it over a black, thin, long-sleeve shirt paired with stockings or knee high boots.  Something very cozy and autumn-like.  However, with the San Francisco Indian summer still strongly upon us, I couldn’t fathom the thought of that many layers when doing this shoot.  The elimination process began and this is what I was left with.  I did add a casual jacket which would pair effortlessly with this look.  I will try to circle back to this dress during the colder months and show it styled for fall or winter.

Bond Girl

DSC_3211_2Following my brother’s weekend wedding, we spent the next day tying up loose ends.  Here, you see me behind the wheel of my brother’s Aston Martin Vantage which naturally reminds me of 007.  It’s the elegant and iconic James Bond vehicle!  I’m having fun channeling the Bond girl within me wearing a slightly sexy and comfortable dress which would allow me to perform my special agent duties.  Fashion is fantasy! 😉

DSC_3229_2This is the second time I’ve styled these booties with knee high socks.  (Previously styled here!)  It’s such a great way to wear booties as it’s not only chic, it’s also comfortable and warm.

Monumental Wedding

DSC_2394Some events in life mark a monumental occasion.  A moment which forever becomes a reference point.  Well, this past weekend was one of those moments for me.  My big brother got married!  I can’t adequately capture into words how happy it makes me feel to see my brother happy.  Simply because he has always been the definition of a dream brother.  I wish him a lifetime of love and laughter! ♥DSC_2727I chose a Three Floor dress for my brother’s wedding because their dresses are works of art.  They are well structured, slightly edgy, feminine, and unique. They look couture without the couture price tag.  I could fill my entire wardrobe with Three Floor after wearing this dress all day.  It was so comfortable I could of slept in it.  The bride is wearing an ethereal, organza gown by Lazaro.  Stunning and gorgeous!

Comfy Shift

DSC_6091_2Hello!  Ever have those days where even your inner fashionista can’t compromise comfort for fashion?  This is one of those evenings for me.  A celebratory dinner on a night where my inclination was to curl up in a soft, oversized tee.  I needed to pull together a polished look which was unequivocally effortless.  This is the moment where I kowtow with submissive gratitude to the shift dress.  Its columnar silhouette lacking waist definition is forgiving and easy to wear!  Precisely what a night like this called for.  Are you remotely surprised that it’s lace?  Besides, I love the floret pattern of this dress.  To keep the look balanced, I pair it with a lightweight coat which cinches at the waist.  I slip into a reasonably comfortable pair of heels.  Yes, heels!  When you’re petite heels are not optional.  With minimal accessories in place, I’m ready to celebrate.  The best part…I have a lot of room for dessert!  😉
