Neutral outfit open cardigan with lace dress

I’ve been cozying up to all things knits lately.  So I paired this warm, neutral cardigan with one of my favorite lace dresses.  You may remember I blogged this dress in black before.  It’s a great dress for any season.  I love it in this green color for the holidays.

Happy Wednesday!  Be stylish and be well.  xo

Neutral Trench

classic outfit and Beige Trench coat and Paige Skyline Skinny Jeans and Valentino Rockstud leopard heels and Loeffler Randall black rider bag and Thierry Lasry Magnety sunglassesAs I’m standing in the center of my closet and panning the full 360 degrees around me, my only conclusion was that I had nothing to wear.  Please tell me you have those mornings too!  And I realize how silly that may sound, but the feeling is quite genuine and usually occurs when I attempt to get dressed prior to my daily Nespresso fix.  And that’s how this morning began for me.

Don’t ask me how this look came together because it was a decaffeinated blur.  I recall starting with this white tee shirt and adding these white jeans in hopes a blank canvas would complement anything should my inspiration strike.  As I reached for this Zara trench coat the leopard print lining struck a chord.  In my fog, I remembered my Rockstud snow leopard heels which match perfectly.  Unfortunately, this trench coat just went on sale and sold out in this color.  (It also comes in sky blue available here.)  I’ve also picked out several similar coats which could quite possibly save you on those foggy-nothing-to-wear mornings!

Hope you had a great weekend.  Have a stylish day! xo

Neutral Ground

DSC_8031_2Amongst my list of essentials for any season is a feminine military jacket!  I like this one because it’s not overwhelmingly long for my petite frame.  It’s cinched at the waist and accentuates a feminine silhouette.  The standup collar projects a corporal vibe.  And the studs add just enough embellishment to distinguish the jacket as belonging on the streets rather than in the trenches.  The military jacket is truly utilitarian because it’s neutral color lends itself to a plethora of looks and color palettes.  Here, I’ve paired it with an entirely neutral ensemble where every article is an essential piece in my opinion!
