From this pink Easter chick, hope you had a happy Easter! I have previously blogged a feather look here. And although I adore the look of feathers, they are ultra delicate and, at times, I really felt like the dress was wearing me! Consequently, I was very excited to discover faux feather! This skirt is faux feather and can be hand washed!
These days, the pendulum has swung all the way towards faux. It’s faux fur, faux leather, and faux feather or risk being faux pas! Fittingly, I paired this faux feather skirt with a faux leather jacket. Like birds of a feather…why the faux not?
Happy Monday and make it stylish! xo

When I did this overalls throwback post here, I truly believed it was going to be my only pair because I have vowed not to revisit the 90’s grunge. Apparently, I’m not ‘over’ the 90’s after all. When I bought this pair, it all happened so quickly I wouldn’t allow myself to think it through. But you don’t have to when you’re at Forever 21, right?! I would of preferred to style these overalls up, but the truth is, I really love an after hours comfortable outfit. Hence, let’s kick off the weekend together with this casual laid back look!
Have a relaxing weekend! xo

I just returned from a week and half long vacation to NYC and Boston. Truth be told, I wasn’t all that excited about my chilly vacation as I was packing all my bulky winter gear. I have been in spring, bordering on summer, mentality and fashion for a while now. As it turns out, it rained about a third of my vacation, but it was still one of the best vacations I’ve had! Nothing like a cobalt blue fur collar to let Mother Nature know she can’t rain on my parade! Rain or shine, I had the time of my life!
These photos were taken at my favorite hotel in Manhattan, Le Parker Meridien. I love the lobby architecture and wrought iron details. The bar/lounge area has such a sultry mood with gothic decor and light fixtures! If you find yourself in Midtown Manhattan, stop by, and you won’t want to leave!
Hope you had a great weekend and happy Monday! xo

Ever feel like holding up your hands, nonverbally declaring a timeout, and magically disappearing to your happy place? Yup, that’s happened to me. Just last weekend, in fact, when I took a major pause from my hectic routine, threw some things into the car, and headed for Napa. And what did I find upon my arrival? The annual ‘Taste of Yountville’ event fortuitously getting ready to begin on Washington Street! I’m convinced it’s the best kept secret…ever!! (So let’s keep this between you and I, okay? I won’t tell if you don’t tell!) Taste of Yountville is essentially a town wide block party showcasing Yountville’s finest food, wine, and arts. And when an event starts at Bouchon Bakery and ends at French Laundry it’s on the upper echelons category fit for food connoisseurs and avid oenophiles. This was my relaxed countryside outfit taken at French Laundry!
Hope you find escape in some form or other this weekend. And keep it stylish! xo

Virtually daily, a little voice in my head advocates for me to dress conservatively and mature. Usually, before I have the chance to really take it into consideration that soft spoken voice is usurped by a boisterous trendy voice. As of late, that’s been any shade of pink, lace, or a 90’s throwback. Today, a truce has been called. Here’s a knee length pencil skirt paired with a crew neck sweater. All very mature and demure if not for the mesh fabric. A fabric typically used for sports jerseys! Mesh is directly on trend with the sports luxe infiltration occurring this upcoming season. Take for instance Chanel’s spring/summer 2014 collection shown at New York Fashion Week where heels were completely MIA and replaced with sneakers. Every look including floor length gowns were paired with flat sneakers, albeit, all custom made! So, if it weren’t for the truce today, I’d be in sneakers! 😉
Hope you had a great weekend and have a happy & stylish Monday!
